Je suis archéo-anthropologue, spécialiste de la préhistoire récente et la protohistoire de l’Arabie du Sud-est. Titulaire d’un doctorat en Archéologie-Ethnologie-Préhistoire à l’Université Paris-I Panthéon-Sorbonne et un doctorat en Biologie Animale à l’Università di Roma La Sapienza, obtenu en 2014, je suis chargée de recherche au CNRS depuis 2018. Mes recherches portent sur l’évolution des populations anciennes dans des environnements contraignants, à travers la reconstruction de leurs modes de vie et l’étude de leurs pratiques funéraires.

Je m’intéresse en particulier aux mécanismes d’adaptations des populations côtières entre le Néolithique et l’âge du Bronze (6000-2000 avant l’ère commune), et aux changements bioculturels qui accompagnent le développement de l’agriculture oasienne en Arabie (alimentation, état sanitaire, démographie, sédentarité, complexification sociale,…).

Je prépare actuellement la publication des monuments funéraires de l’âge du Bronze ancien à Ra’s al-Jinz (sultanat d’Oman), en exploitant les archives de fouilles anciennes et en menant l’étude anthropologique des restes humains issus de ces tombes.

Parallèlement, je dirige la fouille d’une importante nécropole de l’âge du Bronze ancien à Shiyā (sultanat d’Oman) et je collabore à plusieurs missions internationales dans la péninsule arabique.

Préhistoire récente et protohistoire de l’Arabie

• Pratiques funéraires ; biologie des populations ; culture matérielle.

Archéologie funéraire (toutes périodes)

• Direction de fouilles d’ensembles funéraires ; fouille, documentation et démontage des sépultures (individuelles/plurielles, simples/monumentales), étude taphonomique ; relevés, reconstitutions.

Anthropologie biologique (toutes périodes)

• Étude de collections ostéologiques humaines (toutes périodes – identification, dénombrement, conservation, sexe, âge, alimentation, état sanitaire, conditions bucco-dentaires, métrique, variations anatomiques, paléodémographie, …); mise en place de protocoles d’analyses (ADN, datations 14C, isotopes stables, tartre dentaire, radiographies, microscopie…) ; très bonne expérience des séries très fragmentées et altérées (contextes arides ou collectifs).
